Shell Gadus S2 V100 3 in the 50kg keg is supplied for workshop bulk service. It is a heavy-duty multi-purpose extreme-pressure grease in the stiffer NLGI 3 consistency, combining a lithium/calcium soap thickener with ISO VG 100 base oil — suiting bearings operating at higher speeds where heavier base oils would generate excess churning resistance, and applications requiring a stiffer grease than NLGI 2 such as vertical-shaft bearings or grease-retention installations.
For smaller workshops, Shell Gadus S2 V100 3 is also available in an 18kg keg (PRD00004071).
As with all greases, follow the equipment manufacturer's regreasing schedule and avoid mixing with greases of incompatible thickener type — incompatible thickeners can cause softening, hardening or separation of the grease in service. Store greases sealed in the original packaging, at moderate temperatures and away from direct sunlight, to preserve consistency and additive performance.
Shell Gadus S2 V100 3 is a general purpose grease based on a new lithium hydroxystearate soap thickener fortified with anti-oxidant, anti-wear and anti-rust additives. Main Applications Rolling element and plain grease lubricated bearings & Electric motors

A. NLGI is the universal grease consistency standard every reputable grease meets, ranging from NLGI 000 (semi-fluid) to NLGI 3 (firm). It is your baseline check — match the grade your handbook specifies (e.g., NLGI 2 for most multi-purpose applications) and the grease is technically suitable for your machine.
