This website is operated by Equipta Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”), a retailer of parts, spares and machines for the agriculture and construction industries. “You” means the person browsing or purchasing on our site, whether as a consumer or as a business/trade customer. By using the site or placing an order you agree to these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”), together with our Returns & Refunds Policy, Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which are incorporated by reference. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
These Terms apply to customers in the United Kingdom, the Republic of Ireland and other European Union / EEA countries. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer. Where you buy as a business, some clauses apply differently, as noted below.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in force is the one published here when you place your order.
By placing an order you confirm that:
Please place your order following the on-screen instructions, checking carefully that the parts and their applications are correct before submitting. After you pay, you will receive an order acknowledgement by email. This acknowledgement confirms we have received your order but does not by itself mean we have accepted it.
A binding contract is formed only when we send you an email confirming that the goods have been dispatched (or that your order is accepted). We may decline or be unable to accept an order — for example if the product is unavailable, we cannot authorise payment, there was a genuine error in the price or description, or we suspect the order is for resale where our terms do not permit it. If we cannot accept your order we will tell you and refund any payment taken.
Prices are shown in the currency for your location — pounds sterling (GBP) for the United Kingdom and euro (EUR) for the Republic of Ireland and other eurozone EU countries. For consumers, prices are shown inclusive of VAT at the rate of the country the goods are delivered to (for example 20% for the UK and 23% for the Republic of Ireland). Applicable delivery charges are displayed before you complete your order, so you can see the total price payable. Orders delivered outside the United Kingdom may involve customs formalities. In most cases we handle these at no extra cost to you; where that is not possible for a particular order, we will tell you before we dispatch it.
Prices may change from time to time, but changes do not affect orders we have already accepted. If we discover a genuine and obvious error in the price or description of goods after you order, we may cancel the order and refund you in full; we will contact you first where we can.
If you are a consumer, you have a statutory right to cancel a distance purchase within 14 days without giving a reason, in addition to your rights if goods are faulty, damaged or not as described. Full details — including how to cancel, return timescales, refunds and battery-specific points — are set out in our Returns & Refunds Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
Your statutory rights are protected by the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (UK) and, for customers in the EU/EEA (including Ireland), EU consumer law and the implementing legislation of your country (for example, in Ireland, the Consumer Rights Act 2022), including a minimum two-year guarantee that goods conform to the contract. Nothing in these Terms removes or reduces those rights.
We try to keep stock information up to date, but occasionally an item may be unavailable or a supplier may run out. If this happens we will contact you and, where possible, offer a comparable alternative for you to accept or decline. If you do not want the alternative, or none is available, we will cancel that item and refund you in full.
We aim to keep the site accurate and current, but the material is provided for general information and we do not warrant it is always error-free or complete. Occasionally there may be typographical errors, inaccuracies or omissions relating to descriptions, pricing, promotions, charges, transit times or availability. Except as required by law, we may correct errors and update information at any time.
Descriptions, drawings, specifications, catalogues, application guides and images are intended to give a general idea of the goods and are illustrative only. We make every effort to display colours and images accurately, but we cannot guarantee your device displays colours accurately. Please check the product details, datasheets and any fitment/application information before purchasing.
Some products we sell are, or contain, batteries. Please follow the manufacturer’s instructions for safe installation, charging, use and storage. Batteries must not be disposed of in household waste: the crossed-out wheeled-bin symbol means they must be collected separately for recycling, and lead-acid and lithium batteries in particular must be handled and transported according to the applicable safety rules.
Damaged or leaking batteries must not be posted or shipped back to us, as they cannot be carried as normal goods under dangerous-goods transport rules; where this applies, we may choose to assess your claim from photographs and provide any refund or replacement due without the battery being returned. For disposal and recycling, see our Returns & Refunds Policy.
We may give you access to third-party tools that we do not control. These are provided “as available” without warranties, and your use of them is at your own discretion and subject to the relevant third party’s terms.
AI Assist / “Ask Simon” and similar AI tools: these provide general guidance only. Responses are automatically generated and may be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date. Please verify all information on the relevant product page, datasheets and equipment manuals before purchase or use. To the extent permitted by law, and without affecting your statutory rights, we do not accept liability for reliance on AI-generated output.
Our site may link to third-party websites we are not affiliated with. We are not responsible for their content, accuracy, products or practices, and we are not liable for transactions you make with them. Please review their terms and policies before engaging with them.
If you send us comments, ideas or other submissions, you agree we may use them without restriction or compensation, and we are under no obligation to keep them confidential or to respond. You are responsible for your submissions and agree they will not be unlawful, infringing, abusive or contain malware, and that you will not impersonate others. We may (but need not) remove content we consider objectionable or unlawful.
You must not use the site or its content: for any unlawful purpose; to solicit unlawful acts; to breach any applicable laws or regulations; to infringe our or others’ intellectual property; to harass, abuse or discriminate against anyone (including on grounds of gender, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity, race, age, national origin or disability); to submit false information; to upload malware; to collect others’ personal data; to spam, phish, scrape or crawl; for any obscene purpose; or to interfere with the security of the site. We may terminate your use of the site for any prohibited use.
From time to time we offer promotional codes, discounts and offers. Unless stated otherwise: a code may only be redeemed online; only one code may be used per transaction and not in conjunction with other offers; codes are non-transferable, non-refundable and not exchangeable for cash; and we may accept, decline, cancel or withdraw a code, or exclude certain products. If no period is stated, a code is valid for up to 3 days from launch, subject to availability.
If you return an order that used a promotional code, we will refund the amount you actually paid. Where a free item was supplied as part of the promotion, we may ask you to return it with the order. None of these promotion terms affects or reduces your statutory 14-day cancellation right or your rights in respect of faulty goods.
We may analyse how the site is used to improve it, including through analytics and session tools such as Hotjar, used in an aggregated and anonymised way. For visitors in the UK and the EU (including Ireland), analytics and marketing technologies that are not strictly necessary are used only with your consent through our cookie banner. See our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy for details of what we collect and how to manage your choices.
Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which explains your rights under UK GDPR and EU GDPR.
If you are a consumer, our liability to you is as provided by law and is limited to foreseeable loss. We are not liable to a consumer for business losses such as loss of profit or business interruption; if you intend to use the goods for business or commercial purposes, please purchase as a business customer.
We do not guarantee that the website will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free, and we may suspend or withdraw it. Except as set out above and as required by law, our total liability to a consumer for the goods is limited to the price paid for them.
If you are a business customer: to the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all implied terms, and we are not liable for loss of profit, revenue, data or any indirect or consequential loss; our total liability is limited to the price paid for the goods giving rise to the claim.
If you are a business customer, you agree to indemnify us and our officers, employees and suppliers against reasonable claims, losses and legal costs arising from your breach of these Terms or your infringement of any law or third-party right. This clause does not apply to consumers except to the extent you have caused loss through your own unlawful act, and it does not affect your statutory rights.
These Terms apply while you use the site. You may stop using the site at any time. We may end or suspend your access if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms. Termination does not affect rights or liabilities that arose beforehand.
If any provision is found unlawful or unenforceable, the rest remains in force. Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of it. These Terms, together with the policies referred to in them, are the entire agreement between us regarding your use of the site and your purchases.
If you have a complaint, please contact us first at [email protected] and we will try to resolve it. Consumers in the EU/EEA (including Ireland) can also seek information and assistance from their national consumer-protection authority and, for cross-border purchases, their national European Consumer Centre (for example, in Ireland, the CCPC and the ECC Ireland); a list of certified alternative dispute resolution (ADR) bodies is available through the European Commission’s consumer-redress pages. (The EU Online Dispute Resolution platform closed on 20 July 2025 and is no longer available.)
These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer resident in the Republic of Ireland or another EU/EEA country, you keep the benefit of the mandatory consumer-protection provisions of the law of your country of residence — nothing in these Terms takes those away — and you may bring proceedings in your local courts. UK consumers may bring proceedings in the courts of their home nation within the UK.
We may update these Terms by posting the revised version here. The version that applies to your order is the one in force when you place it. Please check this page from time to time.
