Variations
Shell Gadus S2 V220 2 (formerly Shell Alvania Grease EP[LF] 2 and Shell Retinax EP 2) in the 50kg keg is supplied for workshop bulk service. It is a multi-purpose extreme-pressure grease providing reliable protection across multi-purpose applications — positioned for general bearing and chassis lubrication where a premium lithium/calcium NLGI 2 EP grease is specified.
The NLGI 2 consistency is the standard bearing-grade grease consistency.
Approvals and performance levels include ASTM D2596 (extreme-pressure load-wear).
For smaller workshops, Shell Gadus S2 V220 2 is also available in an 18kg keg (PRD00004109).
As with all greases, follow the equipment manufacturer's regreasing schedule and avoid mixing with greases of incompatible thickener type — incompatible thickeners can cause softening, hardening or separation of the grease in service. Store greases sealed in the original packaging, at moderate temperatures and away from direct sunlight, to preserve consistency and additive performance.
Gadus S2 V220 is a grease which comprises lithium based products, containing highly refined mineral oils, fortified with extreme pressure (EP) additives as well as corrosion and oxidation inhibitors.This greases has been formulated with additives that provide good film strength under medium to high loads. This is a grease designed for plant wide lubrication. These greases provide good protection against rust and corrosion as well as resistance to water wash-out; which makes them particularly suitable for equipment where moist or wet conditions are common. .
