Thank you for shopping at partsformachines.com, operated by Equipta Ltd (“we”, “us”), a retailer of parts, spares and machines for the agriculture and construction industries. We want you to be happy with your purchase. This policy explains your rights to cancel, return and obtain a refund, and applies across our full product range to customers in the United Kingdom, the Republic of Ireland and other European Union / EEA countries. Some sections (for example waste-battery recycling) apply only to particular product types. Nothing in this policy affects your statutory legal rights.
Consumers and business customers: the statutory cancellation right in section 1 applies to consumers. Where you buy as a business (for example a farm, contractor or trade customer), that right does not apply and your purchase may be subject to separate terms — see our Terms & Conditions.
If you are a consumer, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days without giving any reason.
If you wish, you may use this model cancellation form (not obligatory): “To Equipta Ltd, Bank Gallery, High Street, Kenilworth, Warwickshire, CV8 1LY ([email protected]): I hereby give notice that I cancel my contract of sale of the following goods: [description]; ordered on / received on: [date]; name and address of consumer; signature of consumer (only if this form is notified on paper); date.”
Separately from the 14-day cooling-off right, if goods are faulty, damaged, not as described or not fit for a purpose you made known to us, you have legal rights:
Please tell us as soon as reasonably possible if goods arrive damaged or faulty — ideally with photographs of the item and its packaging — so we can put it right quickly. Reporting quickly helps us, but does not remove your statutory rights. Where goods are faulty, we cover the cost of return and will provide a repair, replacement or refund as appropriate.
Where you report goods as damaged or faulty, we (or the manufacturer) may need to inspect the goods before providing a remedy. Please follow our returns process so the item can be assessed. We will act without undue delay, but inspection and testing — particularly where the manufacturer is involved — can take longer than 14 days, and we will keep you informed. Where a refund is due, we will pay it without undue delay and in any event within 14 days of it being agreed that you are entitled to one.
Many products we sell also carry a manufacturer’s warranty (see the product page or packaging). A warranty is in addition to, and does not reduce, your statutory rights.
Nothing in this section affects your statutory legal rights.
We accept returns of unwanted items for up to 30 days from delivery in total. The first 14 days are your statutory cancellation right (see section 1). From day 15 to day 30, we accept returns as a goodwill gesture, provided:
Refunds under this goodwill extension cover the price of the goods: the original delivery charge is not refunded, and you pay the cost of returning the item. Products that do not meet these criteria may not be accepted for a goodwill return. This goodwill extension does not reduce your legal rights.
Contact us at [email protected] to request a Return Merchandise Number (RMN). We will confirm the return address and how to send the item. For some items we may arrange collection or provide a return label; for others we may ask you to return the item to our warehouse for inspection. Larger or heavier items — such as machines or bulky equipment — may need to be collected or returned by a specialist carrier, and we will agree those arrangements with you. Please include your proof of purchase and the RMN with your return.
Once we receive and inspect the returned item, we will notify you that we have received it and let you know the outcome. Approved refunds are made to your original payment method, in the currency you paid, within the timescales set out above (14 days for statutory cancellations). Refunds are made less any deductions permitted under this policy — for example return or collection costs on no-fault returns, or loss in value from handling beyond what is necessary. If an item is returned damaged through misuse or inadequate return packaging, we may reduce the refund to reflect the loss in value, or decline the return.
Because we sell batteries, the following applies:
No restocking fee applies to consumer returns made under your statutory rights (the 14-day cancellation right or faulty-goods rights). For business (B2B) orders, a restocking fee of up to 15% of the order value may apply to returned items as part of these terms of sale.
Sale items may be returned and refunded on the same basis as full-price items.
Please check that an item is the correct fit and suitable for your intended use before purchasing. Except as required by law, our liability for the goods is limited to the price paid for them. This does not affect your statutory rights.
If you have a complaint, please contact us first at [email protected] and we will try to resolve it.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer resident in the Republic of Ireland or another EU/EEA country, you keep the benefit of the mandatory consumer-protection provisions of the law of your country of residence — nothing in this policy takes those away — and you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
