Fortron Screen Wash is a concentrated, smear-free formula designed to remove traffic film, dirt, and insects from windscreens across the full year, with anti-freeze content that allows year-round use including winter conditions.
The concentrated format allows the product to be diluted according to the season — heavier dilution in summer where freeze protection is not required, lighter dilution in winter where the anti-freeze concentration matters most. This dilution flexibility means a single product covers the whole year rather than requiring separate summer and winter screen wash formulations.
The smear-free formula is particularly important for modern vehicles where the windscreen forms part of the driver-assist sensor field of view — smears that are barely visible to the driver can interfere with optical sensor function, making smear-free performance more than just a cosmetic concern.
Anti-freeze content allows the diluted product to remain liquid down to a freezing point of -15°C, providing meaningful winter protection across most UK and Northern European winter conditions. For more extreme conditions, additional concentrate can be added to the reservoir to extend the freeze protection further.
