Castrol Vecton Long Drain 10W-30 E6/E9 is a part synthetic Low SAPS heavy-duty diesel engine oil engineered for extended oil drain up to 100,000 km in the latest European diesel engines, including Euro 6 and engines fitted with diesel particulate filters (DPF), in accordance with OEM specifications. It is also suitable for low-emission Euro 4 and Euro 5 European trucks and buses requiring a low SAPS lubricant and for older on-road and off-road equipment that requires this performance level.
The oil is formulated with Castrol's System 5 Technology, which targets four critical drain-interval challenges: it maintains TBN reserve to neutralise harmful combustion acids, fights wear at the valve train, piston ring and cylinder liner, resists piston deposit formation under severe operating conditions, and adapts to changing engine load and temperature.
Approvals and performance levels include ACEA E6, E7, E9; API CJ-4; JASO DH-2; Caterpillar ECF-3; Cummins CES 20081; Deutz DQC IV-10LA; Mack EO-O Premium Plus and EOS-4.5; MAN M 3271-2 and M 3477; MB-Approval 228.51; MTU Oil Category 3.1; Renault Trucks RLD-3; and Volvo CNG, VDS-4 and VDS-4.5.
For workshop and fleet supply, Castrol Vecton Long Drain 10W-30 E6/E9 is also available in a 208-litre drum (PRD00002052). Sister viscosity grades in the Vecton Long Drain range — 10W-40 E6/E9 (PRD00002044) and 5W-30 E6/E9 (PRD00007805) — are also available for fleet operators requiring different viscosity selection.
