Q 1. What are the dimensions and load rating of the SW150-40?

A. The SW150-40 has principal dimensions of A: 136 mm, K: 166 mm, H: 63 mm, with a bore diameter (d) of 13.5 mm and thread depth (t) of 6 mm. The maximum load rating is 3,750 kg.

Q 2. What does the 40 Shore A rating mean for vibration isolation performance?

A. Shore A hardness indicates the firmness of the rubber element. At 40 Shore A, this is a soft grade, which gives greater deflection under load and provides better vibration isolation at lower operating loads. It is the optimum choice where isolation performance is more important than stiffness or restraint.

Q 3. What types of equipment is the SW150-40 suited to?

A. This mount is designed for instrument and general mounting duties — lightweight, low-load applications involving instruments, electronics and light equipment where protecting sensitive items from vibration is the primary requirement. Industries served include agriculture, marine, power generation, automotive, construction and off-highway, railway and mass transit, and military and defence.

Q 4. How can this mount be installed — in what loading directions?

A. The SW150-40 may be loaded in shear, compression, or a combination of both, providing flexibility in mounting orientation to suit different installation requirements.

Q 5. How does the SW150-40 differ from the SW150-60?

A. Both mounts share the same 136 mm SW150 geometry. The SW150-40 is a soft 40 Shore A grade, offering greater deflection and superior isolation at lower loads. The SW150-60 is a firmer 60 Shore A grade, suited to higher loads where less movement and greater restraint are required.

Q 6. Are custom material or size options available for SW mountings?

A. Yes. Stainless steel metalwork and oil-resistant or high-temperature rubber compounds, as well as additional and custom sizes, are available on request.

Q 7. What is your returns policy?

A. We accept returns within 30 days of purchase for items that are unused, undamaged, and in their original packaging. Returns are available only for UK-delivered orders and must include proof of purchase. Before returning an item, please contact us at [email protected] to obtain a Return Merchandise Number (RMN).

Q 8. When will my order be dispatched?

A. In-stock orders placed before 14:30 Monday to Friday are usually dispatched the same day.
