A hanger isolates from above: pipework, ducting and exhausts hang from it rather than sit on it, and the rubber in the hanger keeps their vibration out of the structure overhead. Sixteen hangers cover the duty in two families, picked by load and by rod size.
The TVAR hangers carry stated minimum and maximum loads, 8 to 25 kilograms, 18 to 50 and 25 to 75 across the range, each offered with M6 or M10 fixings, and the minimum matters as much as the maximum: a hanger loaded below its minimum barely deflects and passes vibration straight up, so suspended weight is matched into the band, not just under the ceiling of it.
The TM hangers pick by rod size instead, 12 and 16 millimetre forms, and both families do the exhaust duty the shelf is named for, holding hot moving pipework flexibly clear of the structure.
