Castrol Hyspin AWH-M 100 is an anti-wear hydraulic oil in the Castrol Hyspin AWH-M range — a multi-purpose hydraulic and circulation oil family with a zinc-containing anti-wear additive system designed for general industrial hydraulic and circulation service. The product is positioned for severely stressed hydraulic systems and circulating systems requiring an anti-wear performance level alongside corrosion protection, oxidation stability and water-separation properties.
The ISO VG 100 viscosity grade is a heavy-duty grade in the Hyspin AWH-M range, suited to heavily loaded industrial circulation systems, large gearcase applications and hot-ambient hydraulic operation where a thick hydraulic oil is specified.
Approvals and performance levels include ISO 6743-4; and DIN 51502 and 51524.
The Castrol Hyspin AWH-M range covers a number of viscosity grades up to ISO VG 150 in our catalogue.
The 20-litre pack format is suited to single-machine top-up and small workshop service. Store sealed in the original packaging, in a clean, dry area away from extremes of temperature, to preserve product performance over its shelf life.
Hyspin AWH-M contains a shear stable additive system which helps maintain the viscosity characteristics of the product over a wide temperature range even during prolonged use and imparts a very low pour point which enables the product to be used in very cold environments. It exhibits excellent corrosion and wear protection as well as outstanding thermal and oxidative stability. In addition, Hyspin AWH-M has excellent hydrolytic stability and separates rapidly from water contamination upon standing. Applications include: Outdoor equipment which are likely to operate in wide temperature ranges, such as machinery subjected to cold start up conditions and high temperature continuous running. Examples include off-highway and marine applications. Indoor manufacturing equipment that incorporates control systems requiring minimal viscosity change with temperature. Examples include precision machine tools. The Hyspin AWH-M range is fully compatible with elastomer materials commonly used for static and dynamic seals, such as nitrile, silicone and fluorinated (e.g. Viton) polymers.
