Oil FinderShell Tellus S2 MX 46 is a high-performance industrial hydraulic fluid for manufacturing and mobile hydraulic equipment operations. It is suitable for industrial hydraulic systems where long fluid life, wear protection and system efficiency under sustained load are required.
The oil is formulated on Group II base oils, designed to resist breakdown under thermal and mechanical stress and to maintain efficient hydraulic power transfer. The formulation also targets foam control and air release to minimise cavitation-induced oxidation that can shorten fluid life, and provides hydrolytic stability in the presence of moisture for service in humid environments.
Approvals and performance levels include Bosch Rexroth Fluid Rating RDE 90245; Parker Denison HF-0, HF-1, HF-2; Eaton E-FDGN-TB002-E; Fives (Cincinnati Machine) P-70; ISO 11158 (HM fluids); DIN 51524 Part 2 HLP type; ASTM D6158-05 (HM fluids); and Swedish Standard SS 15 54 34 AM.
For workshop bulk supply and industrial circulation systems, Shell Tellus S2 MX 46 is also available in a 209-litre drum (PRD00004296).
Shell Tellus S2 MX 46 is supplied at ISO Viscosity Grade 46. The Tellus S2 MX range covers other ISO grades (32, 68, 100) for systems requiring different viscosity selection by ambient temperature or pump manufacturer specification.
