Castrol Vecton Fuel Saver 5W-30 E6/E9 is a full synthetic Low SAPS heavy-duty diesel engine oil designed for better fuel economy in the latest Euro 6 diesel engines. It is suitable for engines fitted with diesel particulate filters (DPF) and is also approved for use in MAN Euro 6 engines, low-emission Euro 4 and Euro 5 European trucks and buses requiring a low SAPS lubricant, and older on-road and off-road equipment at this performance tier.
The oil is formulated with Castrol's System 5 Technology, which adapts to changing engine conditions to maintain performance in five key areas: fuel consumption, oil consumption, oil drain interval, component life and engine power. In Castrol's own testing, the product delivered up to 1% fuel saving in a Euro 5 engine using the European Transient Cycle test when compared to a flagship 15W-40 engine oil, and delivered up to 40% better performance than API and ACEA industry standard limits in independent laboratory testing.
Approvals and performance levels include ACEA E6, E7, E9; API CJ-4; JASO DH-2; Caterpillar ECF-3; Cummins CES 20081; Deutz DQC IV-10LA; Mack EO-M Plus, EO-N Premium Plus and EO-O Premium Plus; MAN M 3271-1, M 3477 and M 3677; MB-Approval 228.31; MTU Oil Category 3.1; Renault Trucks RLD-3; Scania LDF-4; Volvo CNG and VDS-4/4.5; and Ford WSS-M2C213-A1.
