Built to carry demanding loads with minimum deflection, the RSM242-70-70 is a 70 Shore A rectangular sandwich mount rated to 1,000 kg with a deflection rate of 2.2 kg/mm, the firmest grade in the RSM242 range and the right choice wherever heavy loads, shock inputs, or rigid restraint are the primary concern. Dimensioned at 168 mm (A) × 57 mm (B) × 43 mm (C), with a 127 mm (D) and 146 mm (E) bolt-pitch arrangement, 11 mm (F) and 5 mm (G) metal details, this mount delivers the load-bearing performance that lighter Shore grades cannot provide. Rubber-to-metal bonded construction gives the RSM242-70-70 its structural integrity across shear, compression, and combined loading directions. The harder 70 Shore A compound is selected precisely because it limits movement under load: where a softer grade would deflect more and suit vibration isolation of sensitive or lightweight equipment, this firm grade holds equipment positively in place while still absorbing shock and impact energy that would otherwise transfer directly to surrounding structures or the operator. The mount serves industries including construction and off-highway, agriculture, power generation, marine, railway and mass transit, automotive, and military and defence. Within those sectors it is most applicable to heavy plant, powertrain mounts, engine restraint, and any assembly where load magnitude and impact rather than maximum isolation are the design drivers.
