The soft rubber compound is rubber-to-metal bonded, allowing the mount to be loaded in shear, compression or a combination of both. At 45 Shore A, the grade delivers greater deflection per unit of load than harder alternatives, producing the high isolation efficiency suited to instruments, electronics and light equipment where protecting sensitive components from vibration-induced stress is the priority. This construction also improves operator comfort and protects surrounding structures from transmitted vibration.
