Rated to a maximum load of 20 kg with a deflection of 6.0 mm, this 40 Shore A soft-grade unit is purpose-built for lightweight instruments, sensitive electronics, and light equipment where the mount must move freely under load to absorb vibration rather than transmit it. The high deflection-to-load ratio is the defining characteristic of this grade: softer rubber yields greater movement, and greater movement means better isolation at the lower excitation frequencies typical of delicate installations. The rubber-to-metal bonded construction allows the mount to accept loading in shear, compression, or a combination of both, providing flexibility in how it is integrated into a design. UU Shear Mounts are designed to load the rubber in shear, thereby providing a soft vertical spring rate. This allows for an excellent level of isolation. These anti-vibration mounts are generally produced in natural rubber to ensure optimum performance.
