The Sealey GDM790BR Radial Bench Pillar Drill solves this with a radial arm controlled by a rack and pinion assembly, allowing fine, precise positioning of the drill bit without moving the workpiece. The radial arm travels 285mm and delivers a maximum throat depth of 420mm, giving you exceptional reach for larger components. A 550W motor drives five selectable speeds from 500 to 2450rpm, matched to a 16mm capacity chuck with No. 2MT taper, covering a wide range of drilling tasks. The spindle travels 80mm and the maximum distance from spindle to base is 470mm, with a spindle-to-table distance of up to 300mm. Built to last with heavy-duty construction, the GDM790BR stands 820mm tall and weighs 43kg, providing the stability needed for demanding bench use. Safety is addressed with a no-volt release switch and a pulley cover cut-out microswitch fitted as standard. A keyless chuck upgrade is available via accessory GDMX/KC, and a mortise attachment can be ordered separately as model MA10. For larger workshops requiring a floor-standing solution, the GDM1630FR is also available.
