Three specifications to check: motor power (typical bench drills are 350-500W; floor-standing drills 700W-1.5kW), chuck capacity (most drills accept up to 13mm or 16mm shank bits — 16mm is standard for trade work), and swing (the distance from the column to the centre of the chuck — determines the maximum workpiece radius). For trade and fabrication work, choose a 16mm chuck and at least 250mm swing. The product page lists all three specs.

Yes. Replacement bandsaw blades (matched by length, width, and tooth-pitch), drill bits (matched by shank type and diameter), lathe tooling (HSS, carbide-tipped, indexable inserts), sanding belts (matched by length and width), and machine consumables are available for the majority of Draper, SIP, and Sealey workshop power tools. For sustained-use sanding, sawing, and routing work, a dust extractor is recommended both for operator-health reasons (HSE WEL limits on wood and metal dust) and for tool longevity (dust ingress shortens motor and bearing life). Workshop dust extractors are sized to the machine's dust-port diameter and the airflow rating needed — typically 80-150mm port and 1500-3500 m³/h airflow for trade workshops.
