The Sealey GDM150B answers that need directly. This 16-speed bench pillar drill stands 1070mm tall and is powered by a 450W motor (650W input) running on 230V. It accepts drill bits up to 16mm via its No. 2 Morse taper spindle housing and 16mm capacity chuck, making it compatible with taper shank drill bits. Sixteen selectable speeds cover a range of 120-3000rpm, giving precise control across different materials and bit sizes. The rack and pinion feed shaft includes a preset depth control for repetitive drilling work, ensuring consistent hole depths throughout a production run. The spindle travel is 80mm, the spindle centre to column distance is 178mm, and the maximum spindle-to-base distance is 670mm. Column diameter is 80mm with an 80mm diameter collar, and the base measures 460 x 275mm. Drive belt access is mechanically denied during operation for operator safety. A no-voltage release switch is fitted as standard, enabling insurance company approval for use in educational establishments and meeting Safety of Machinery (Safety) Directives 1992 and amendments. The unit weighs 60kg. A mortise attachment is available separately under Model No. MA10, and a keyless chuck upgrade is available as GDMX/KC.
