Shell Helix HX8 ECT C3 5W-30 is a fully synthetic motor oil using Shell's advanced emissions-compatible technology that helps to keep diesel particulate filters clean to maintain engine performance. The low-SAPS formulation protects DPF from ash build-up that can block the exhaust system and lead to reduced engine performance, and the oil helps reduce engine friction to provide enhanced fuel economy.
The product is suitable for modern passenger car and light commercial vehicle engines requiring an ACEA C3 5W-30 lubricant, including diesel engines fitted with diesel particulate filters and selective catalytic reduction (SCR) systems.
Approvals and performance levels include ACEA C3; MB-Approval 229.31 and 229.51; and BMW Longlife-04.
The 20-litre pack format is suited to single-machine top-up and small workshop service. Store sealed in the original packaging, in a clean, dry area away from extremes of temperature, to preserve product performance over its shelf life.
