Castrol Radicool is a concentrated engine coolant for use in petrol and diesel engines with aluminium or cast-iron engine components. The product provides frost protection, corrosion protection and resistance to scale formation when mixed with water at the recommended dilution ratio — supplied as a mainstream summer-coolant and antifreeze.
The product is positioned for general automotive and light-commercial cooling-system service.
Approvals and performance levels include BS 6580:2010 (UK coolant specification). The product is tested to ASTM D3306; ASTM D1287; ASTM D1120; and ASTM D1177.
Castrol Radicool is supplied as a concentrate and is mixed with water at the dilution ratio specified by the engine manufacturer.
Castrol Radicool is also available in a 208-litre drum (PRD00001736) for workshop bulk supply.
Always follow the engine manufacturer's coolant change interval, top-up procedure and disposal requirements. Used coolant is classified as hazardous waste under UK regulations and should be disposed of via an authorised waste contractor — not poured to drain. Store coolant concentrate sealed in the original packaging, at moderate temperatures and away from direct sunlight.
Castrol Radicool is a concentrated engine coolant for use in both petrol and diesel engines with aluminium or cast iron engines. This coolant can be mixed using 33% concentration with purified water to give frost protection to -18 deg C, however it is recommended to use a 50% dilution to provide optimum corrosion protection and freeze protection down to -36 deg C. At these concentrations this coolant will provides year round protection. To maintain optimum performance this product should be replaced after 1 year

Radicool NF is the Nitrite-Free G11-class silicate hybrid coolant with VW TL 774C and MAN M324 NF approvals for commercial-vehicle and Volkswagen-group service.
