Outdoors, in washdown bays or anywhere salt and moisture linger, an ordinary plated clip corrodes and seizes long before the hose it holds fails.
The HGS20BP is a Hi-Grip worm drive clip adjusting between 13-20mm. Its band edges are fully rounded to protect the hose, and the hex screw is cold-headed and work-hardened with rolled threads, so it resists slipping or rounding under the driver. Tighten incrementally to the recommended 3.0 Nm (26 lb-in); over-tightening is what damages hoses. The range is manufactured to exceed BS5315 and carries the BSI Kitemark and NATO approval.
At 10 clips per box this is the standardisation format for treatment works, boatyards and pump engineers. Specification: 304 stainless (EN 1.4301) throughout, verified by salt mist testing, Lloyd's Register Type Approved. Size each joint by the fitted outside diameter of the hose and tighten in stages to the recommended torque.

Lloyd's Register Type Approval on a stocked bulk pack is rare at any price point.

A. This size spans 13-20mm of fitted hose outside diameter. Measure the hose over its fitting, not the bare bore - anywhere inside 13-20mm and the HGS20BP is the right clip. One JCS size covers a span that would take two fixed nut-and-bolt clamps. In imperial terms that is roughly 1/2 to 13/16 in, covering common 5/8 and 3/4 in hose sizes.
A. JCS recommends 3.0 Nm (26 lb-in) for this size. Position the clip centrally over the hose barb and tighten incrementally to that torque - over-tightening can damage the hose.
A. Yes - every component is the same grade of stainless steel, verified through JCS's salt mist testing, so there is no mixed-metal weak point to corrode first.

A. The screw is cold-headed and work-hardened with a sharply defined hexagon and rolled threads to resist slipping and rounding. For high-vibration applications JCS recommends rechecking the clip after use to maintain seal integrity.
