A. This size spans 17-25mm of fitted hose outside diameter. Measure the hose over its fitting, not the bare bore - anywhere inside 17-25mm and the HGS25BP is the right clip. One JCS size covers a span that would take two fixed nut-and-bolt clamps. In imperial terms that is roughly 11/16 to 1 in, covering common 3/4 and 7/8 in hose sizes.
A. For this size band JCS publishes a recommended torque of 5.0 Nm (45 lb-in). Work up to it gradually with the clip seated centrally on the barb; going past it risks damaging the hose rather than improving the seal.
A. No mixed metals here - band, housing and screw are all the same stainless grade, and JCS verifies that through salt mist testing. Cheaper clips often pair a stainless band with a plated screw, which is the part that fails first.
A. That is one of their core applications: JCS stainless clips serve temporary and permanent pumping, stormwater and overflow systems, wastewater treatment works, and agricultural irrigation networks, where corrosion resistance decides service life.
A. For most marine and wet industrial duty, this 304 (18/8) clip with its Lloyd's Register Type Approval is the standard answer. JCS reserves its 316 grade for the most demanding settings - offshore, food and pharmaceutical - so if that is your application, ask us about options.
A. JCS designs against it: the hex screw is cold-headed and work-hardened with rolled threads, so it holds its setting and will not round off. On high-vibration equipment, JCS's guidance is to recheck the clip after service to keep the seal intact.
A. This is a pack of 10 clips, all 17-25mm adjustment range. Other pack formats of the same clip are listed separately.
