Salt, spray and chemicals make short work of plated steel; a hose clip for that duty has to be stainless through and through.
Sized to adjust between 22-30mm, the HGS30BP carries the construction details Hi-Grip is specified for - rolled screw threads on a cold-headed, work-hardened hex head, fully rounded band edges, and a published tightening torque of 5.0 Nm (45 lb-in) for this size band. The range is made to exceed BS5315 and holds the BSI Kitemark and NATO approval.
Packed 10 to a box for stores and fleet use, the clip is 18/8 marine-quality 304 stainless in every part - band, housing and screw - so there is no plated component to corrode first. Lloyd's Register Type Approval covers marine, offshore and industrial duty; the same clips serve agricultural irrigation, washdown plant and drainage systems.

A. It adjusts between 22-30mm. Measure the outside diameter of your hose when fitted over its pipe or fitting - if that measurement falls within 22-30mm, this clip fits. JCS clips offer a larger adjustment range per size than typical nut-and-bolt clamps. In imperial terms that is roughly 7/8 to 1 3/16 in, covering common 7/8 and 1 in hose sizes.
A. JCS recommends 5.0 Nm (45 lb-in) for this size. Position the clip centrally over the hose barb and tighten incrementally to that torque - over-tightening can damage the hose.
A. Yes - every component is the same grade of stainless steel, verified through JCS's salt mist testing, so there is no mixed-metal weak point to corrode first.

A. Hi-Grip 304 stainless is marine-quality 18/8 steel with Lloyd's Register Type Approval and is suited to saltwater service. JCS also makes a 316 grade for maximum corrosion resistance in the most demanding marine, offshore, food and pharmaceutical settings - contact us if your application is in that category.
A. JCS designs against it: the hex screw is cold-headed and work-hardened with rolled threads, so it holds its setting and will not round off. On high-vibration equipment, JCS's guidance is to recheck the clip after service to keep the seal intact.
