Sized to adjust between 11-16mm, the HGS16BP carries the construction details Hi-Grip is specified for - rolled screw threads on a cold-headed, work-hardened hex head, fully rounded band edges, and a published tightening torque of 3.0 Nm (26 lb-in) for this size band. The range is made to exceed BS5315 and holds the BSI Kitemark and NATO approval.
Packed 10 to a box for stores and fleet use, the clip is 18/8 marine-quality 304 stainless in every part - band, housing and screw - so there is no plated component to corrode first. Lloyd's Register Type Approval covers marine, offshore and industrial duty; the same clips serve agricultural irrigation, washdown plant and drainage systems.
Also available - the same clip as a retail carton (HGS16RP); the same clip as a trade bag (HGS16BG); the 9.5-12mm size (HGS12BP); the 13-20mm size (HGS20BP).
All-stainless construction verified by salt mist testing - made and batch-tested in-house in Sudbury, Suffolk under ISO 9001:2015.

A. This size spans 11-16mm of fitted hose outside diameter. Measure the hose over its fitting, not the bare bore - anywhere inside 11-16mm and the HGS16BP is the right clip. One JCS size covers a span that would take two fixed nut-and-bolt clamps. In imperial terms that is roughly 7/16 to 5/8 in, covering common 1/2 and 5/8 in hose sizes.
A. For this size band JCS publishes a recommended torque of 3.0 Nm (26 lb-in). Work up to it gradually with the clip seated centrally on the barb; going past it risks damaging the hose rather than improving the seal.
A. Yes - every component is the same grade of stainless steel, verified through JCS's salt mist testing, so there is no mixed-metal weak point to corrode first.
A. Yes - JCS stainless hose clips are used across water and drainage infrastructure, including pumping solutions, stormwater and overflow management, wastewater treatment and agricultural irrigation networks.
A. For most marine and wet industrial duty, this 304 (18/8) clip with its Lloyd's Register Type Approval is the standard answer. JCS reserves its 316 grade for the most demanding settings - offshore, food and pharmaceutical - so if that is your application, ask us about options.
A. The screw is cold-headed and work-hardened with a sharply defined hexagon and rolled threads to resist slipping and rounding. For high-vibration applications JCS recommends rechecking the clip after use to maintain seal integrity.
