Air impact wrenches are the fastening workhorse of the tyre bay and the workshop: compressed-air guns that spin wheel nuts, suspension bolts and driveline fasteners off in seconds. The Chicago Pneumatic CP7755 1/2-inch is the premium workshop standard for tyre and general fastening, with the CP724H 3/8-inch running a heavy-duty rocking-dog clutch in oil bath with a built-in power regulator, and the wider CP family covering the full drive range alongside the Sealey and SIP equivalents.
The working numbers sit on every product page: maximum torque in Nm (match it to the heaviest fastener, with margin), working torque range, air consumption in CFM (the compressor must supply it — an undersized compressor strangles the gun), free speed, and weight.
