Variations
A worn or inaccurate tyre inflator costs time and increases the risk of incorrect inflation. The PCL DAC406 is the ACCURA® MK4 Digital Tyre Inflator in the 9 ft (2.7 m) Tyreshop configuration, fitted with a twin clip-on tyre valve connector and calibrated across a 4–250 psi / 0.3–17.2 bar / 30–1723 kPa range — covering passenger cars through to trucks. It is manufactured in Sheffield and forms part of the HORNGROUP portfolio. The ACCURA® MK4 uniquely combines the robustness of the AIRFORCE® MK4 analogue inflator with the accuracy and ease of use of a digital instrument. The body is an extremely robust aluminium construction with a protective rubber bumper, yet PCL state it is the lightest metal-bodied digital inflator on the market. The slimline biomorphic body shape is designed to reduce operator fatigue. The display is a large LCD screen with permanent backlighting during use, auto-off after 25 seconds of no use, and a resolution of 0.1 psi / 0.01 bar / 1 kPa. Selectable units of pressure reading are available. The DAC406 accepts a maximum inlet pressure of 260 psi / 18.0 bar / 1,795 kPa and delivers a flow rate of 500 l/min at 13 bar supply. The IP54 rating confirms suitability for both indoor and outdoor applications, and the operating temperature range is −15 °C to 55 °C. Accuracy conforms to BS EN 12645-2014. The ACCURA® MK4 range is available in a wide choice of hose lengths and tyre valve connector configurations to suit varied workshop requirements.
