Achieving a secure fastener grip in restricted working areas demands a spanner that minimises swing arc without sacrificing torque. The Draper HI-TORQ® Metric Reversible Ratcheting Combination Spanner, 18mm (52006) addresses this directly with a ratchet ring end that requires only 5° of movement to advance the fastener — making it exceptionally well suited to confined spaces where a conventional spanner cannot complete a full swing. The cranked ring end houses a 90-tooth ratchet mechanism and features a forward/reverse direction changer, allowing the user to switch drive direction without removing the spanner from the fastener. The ring end is offset at 15°, and the open end is also set at 15°, both orientations designed to improve working angles in awkward positions. The 12-point HI-TORQ® ring end geometry provides optimal leverage and positive engagement on the fastener. The spanner measures 235mm in overall length and is forged from chrome vanadium steel, then hardened, tempered, chrome plated and fully polished throughout, delivering a durable, corrosion-resistant finish suitable for professional workshop use. The mirror chrome plated surface aids cleaning and resists the deterioration associated with heavy use. Draper HI-TORQ® is a registered trademark of Draper Tools Ltd.
