The Draper HI-TORQ® Metric Reversible Ratcheting Combination Spanner in 17mm addresses this directly, combining a ratcheting ring end with a 5° movement arc that allows the fastener to be driven without repositioning the tool between each stroke — a genuine advantage when clearance is limited. The cranked ring end features a 90-tooth ratchet mechanism and is offset at 15°, providing improved knuckle clearance and leverage in confined spaces. A forward/reverse direction changer on the ring end allows the user to switch between tightening and loosening without removing the spanner from the fastener. The open end is also set at 15°, maintaining consistent working geometry across both ends. The 12-point HI-TORQ® ring end is engineered to deliver optimal leverage while reducing the risk of rounding fastener heads. The spanner is forged from chrome vanadium steel, then hardened, tempered, mirror chrome plated and fully polished throughout, providing a durable, corrosion-resistant finish suited to professional workshop use.
