The Draper HI-TORQ® Metric Flexible Head Ratcheting Combination Spanner in 18mm addresses this directly, combining a manoeuvrable head with a precise ratcheting mechanism to deliver controlled torque where fixed-head spanners cannot reach. The flexible head pivots through 180°, allowing the user to position the ring end at the optimal angle relative to the fastener. The 90-tooth ratchet mechanism requires only 4° of movement to advance the fastener, making it well suited to confined spaces where swing arc is severely limited. The 12-point HI-TORQ® ring end distributes load across more contact points, reducing the risk of rounding fastener corners under load. The open end is set at 15° to the handle, offering an alternative engagement geometry for clearance situations. Forged from chrome vanadium steel, the spanner is hardened, tempered, chrome plated and fully polished throughout, providing both the structural integrity to handle demanding workshop and industrial tasks and a corrosion-resistant finish for long service life.
