Working on live electrical circuits demands tools that offer reliable protection without compromising performance. The Draper Expert XP1000® VDE Reversible Ratchet addresses this requirement with a forged high-quality carbon steel construction and full VDE insulation, making it suitable for hybrid and electric vehicle servicing as well as use by electricians and other trades working on live circuits. The ratchet is tested to 10,000V, certifying safe working on live circuits up to 1,000V AC and 1,500V DC. A 45-tooth mechanism provides an 8° swing arc, giving precise ratcheting action in confined spaces where movement is restricted. The quick-release mechanism allows fast and secure socket changes during operation. Driving through a 1/2" square drive, the tool is suited to the fastener sizes commonly encountered in automotive and electrical installation work. The reversible action accommodates both tightening and loosening without changing grip, supporting efficient workflow in live-circuit environments.
