Castrol Transmax Offroad 30 is a transmission lubricant using highly refined mineral oil, designed for use in powershift transmissions, final drives and wet-brake systems in off-highway equipment — earthmoving machinery, mining equipment and other heavy-duty off-road applications.
The SAE 30W single-grade viscosity is the standard powershift transmission viscosity specified by Caterpillar for general powershift service in warm conditions. The product is positioned within the Caterpillar TO-4 powershift transmission fluid class and also approved for related ZF and Allison commercial vehicle powershift transmissions.
Approvals and performance levels include Caterpillar TO-4; ZF TE-ML 03C; and Allison C-4.
The Castrol Transmax Offroad range covers SAE 10W, 30W and 50W in the Caterpillar TO-4 class.
This drum format is suited to workshop bulk supply, fleet service and high-throughput dispensing via a workshop pump or filtration cart. Store the drum on its side in a bunded area, with the bung uppermost to limit moisture and contamination ingress around the fitting.

Caterpillar TO-4 is required. Selected grades are approved for use in Allison C4 applications and Komatsu off road
machinery drivetrain and hydraulics.

They are your baseline check — match the code your handbook specifies (e.g., API CI-4 or ACEA E7 for heavy-duty diesel) and the oil is technically suitable for your machine.
