Oil FinderCastrol Transmax ATF DX III Multivehicle in the 208-litre drum is supplied for workshop bulk service and large fleet operations. It is an automatic transmission fluid recommended for use in GM automatic transmissions pre-2005 (Dexron II or III specification) and in commercial vehicle automatic transmissions specifying a Dexron-style ATF.
The Dexron III performance class is the long-standing General Motors automatic transmission fluid specification superseded in modern passenger car service by Dexron VI — this product remains the correct selection where the equipment manufacturer specifies Dexron II, III or equivalent.
Approvals and performance levels include MAN M339 L, V and Z; ZF TE-ML 04D; and Allison C-4.
For single-machine service and smaller operators, Castrol Transmax ATF DX III Multivehicle is also available in a 20-litre pack (PRD00002249).
This drum format is suited to workshop bulk supply, fleet service and high-throughput dispensing via a workshop pump or filtration cart. Store the drum on its side in a bunded area, with the bung uppermost to limit moisture and contamination ingress around the fitting.
With viscosity index 175 and pour point -45°C, Castrol - Transmax ATF Dex III Multivehicle supports stable lubrication across the operating temperature range and cold-start conditions.
Transmax ATF DX III Multivehicle is recommended for use in GM automatic transmissions pre 2005 (Dexron® II or III)
and Ford automatic transmissions built between 1983 and 1996 (Mercon®). This product is approved for use in Allison
heavy duty transmissions against TES 389. It is also approved for use in a wide range of european heavy duty automatic
transmissions.
NB: It can be used in some power steering units.
