Exocet Heavy Industrial Fuel Additive is formulated for fuel oil in industrial and commercial scale boiler and furnace operations, supplied here in the 1 litre pack. It is a proprietary blend aimed at combustion performance and storage stability together.
It contains a combustion catalyst, which allows poorer quality or heavier fuel blends to be used while maintaining complete combustion and limiting visible particulate emissions. In storage it inhibits fuel degradation through oxidation and limits the fuel-degenerative action of certain metals. It reduces fuel tank sludge, protects ferrous tanks against corrosion, maintains burner and exchanger cleanliness, improves combustion efficiency and reduces carbon build-up on exchanger surfaces. The dose rate depends on the fuel being burnt and on what the site is trying to achieve, so it is set against the objective rather than applied flat. Its effect on operational and maintenance performance comes from those two directions together: cleaner combustion at the burner, and more stable fuel behind it in the tank.
Dose at 1 litre of additive to 3,000 litres of fuel, with the rate depending on the fuel and the objective. Use it where modern burner systems need better fuel atomisation, where storage stability and shelf life need improving, or where deposit build-up needs minimising.
