Exocet Cooker Additive improves the burn quality of domestic kerosene in range-style cookers, boilers and vaporising burners, supplied here in the 100ml pack. It is endorsed by Esse cast iron range cookers.
Char Value is the measure that matters here. The BS2869:C2 specification sets an upper limit of 20mg/kg, but field experience since 2008 shows fuel being supplied in the 16 to 30mg/kg range, and the situation is not improving. The effect on range cookers such as AGAs, Rayburns and Esses is carbon building around the burner, which gives variable heat output and poor controllability. Cooker Additive controls the Char Value of the fuel, improving combustion performance and keeping the burner clean for longer. It also reduces carbon and soot build-up, inhibits deposits growing in storage tanks, minimises tank corrosion, preserves fuel in storage and maintains fuel flow.
Dose at 200ml to 1,000 litres of heating oil. Use it where a range cooker is running on kerosene, where the storage tank has low turnover, or where the burner cokes up continually and the fuel pipe blocks.
