The ISO VG 220 viscosity grade is positioned for general-service heavy-duty industrial gearboxes — the most widely specified industrial gear oil viscosity across general industry.
Approvals and performance levels include DIN 51517 Part 3 (CLP).
For single-machine service, Shell Omala S2 GX 220 is also available in a 20-litre pack (PRD00004212).
This drum format is suited to workshop bulk supply, fleet service and high-throughput dispensing via a workshop pump or filtration cart. Store the drum on its side in a bunded area, with the bung uppermost to limit moisture and contamination ingress around the fitting.
