The CCL 02-028 is a 24V Maxi changeover relay with integrated diode protection, designed for heavy-duty electrical switching applications in commercial vehicles, plant machinery, and agricultural equipment. Operating at 24 volts, it is built to handle the demanding load cycles typical of professional vehicle and machinery electrical systems.
The 02-028 features a changeover configuration across five pins, delivering a continuous open-circuit load rating of 40A and a continuous closed-circuit load rating of 30A. For inrush and surge conditions, peak load capacity reaches 120A on the open circuit and 100A on the closed circuit. The integrated diode protection guards against voltage spikes and back-EMF, helping to protect sensitive electronic control modules and downstream circuitry from damage caused by inductive switching loads. Terminals are 2 x 6.3 mm, ensuring compatibility with standard automotive and commercial-vehicle wiring connectors.
As a Maxi-format relay, the 02-028 is suited to high-current circuits where a standard-size relay would be undersized. The changeover function allows a single relay to switch between two separate circuits, making it well suited to lighting rigs, auxiliary power distribution, and motor control applications where both normally-open and normally-closed switching paths are required.
For 12V applications or alternative relay configurations, additional CCL relay variants are available within the 02-series range.
