The Haztec 5-7016 is a 6LED covert plinth warning system that mounts behind the vehicle's number plate - a pair of covert end housings fitted with Haztec warning lights, invisible until activated.
Installation is the clever part: remove the number plate, fit the light system to the plate position, and refit - the housings sit at the plate's ends with the lights concealed within. Haztec's covert plinth family runs from the 4LED 5-7004/64 system through this 6LED 5-7016/66 tier to the 12LED 5-7068, so output scales with the vehicle's role.
The listed housing dimensions in the family run to approximately 102H x 47.5L x 30.6D mm per end housing on the compact builds - small enough to disappear into the plate area of ordinary cars and vans.
Colour is specified by the -x suffix, and the related angled systems (5-7054/5-7056) cover installations where the housings need to project light at an angle rather than straight back.
An unmarked vehicle keeps its cover in traffic and declares itself only when needed - which is the whole specification.
