The Haztec 8-87421 is a fully weatherproof switch purpose-designed for use on motorcycles, with a slide cover - the handlebar-grade control in the Haztec motorcycle warning package.
Motorcycle switching has requirements car equipment ignores: full weather exposure, gloved operation, and protection against accidental activation while riding. The purpose-designed weatherproof build and slide cover answer all three, the cover guarding the switch until deliberately slid open.
It sits in the motorcycle switching documentation alongside the 8-61105/8-61106 items and the compact 6-button EuroSmart handset with integral microphone and magnetic mount holder (straight or coiled lead) - the control layer for the 8-82414/5 amplifier and 8-7050 speaker systems producing 118-123dBA at 2 metres.
The handset alternative measures 60 x 80 x 20mm where a fuller function set is required in the same constrained space.
Specify the 8-87421 as the ride-position switch in a motorcycle installation, with the handset covering multi-function roles.
