Cutting perfectly round, accurate holes in a range of materials demands a reliable blade with genuine durability. The Draper 41089 HSS bi-metal holesaw blade is a heavy-duty, variable pitch holesaw designed for cutting wood, steel, brass, bronze, cast iron, aluminium and plastic to a maximum depth of 35mm (1-3/8 in). The blade is constructed with a hardened M3 steel cutting edge welded to a tough alloy steel body. This bi-metal construction delivers a fast, clean cutting action whilst significantly reducing the risk of shattering under load. Four side slots are incorporated to aid the removal of the cut slug, keeping the workpiece clean and the blade clear during operation. Fixing is via a female threaded spindle compatible with a 9.5mm arbor, allowing straightforward attachment to a standard power drill. When cutting metal, the use of a cutting lubricant is advisable to prolong service life; Draper Metal Cutting Lubricant 400ml (Stock No. 76109) is a suitable accompaniment. The 80mm diameter makes this blade well suited to professional workshop and trade applications where consistent, accurate hole cutting is required.
