Salt, spray and chemicals make short work of plated steel; a hose clip for that duty has to be stainless through and through.
This is the 230-260mm size of the Hi-Grip worm drive range. Where cheaper clips cut their threads and leave sharp band edges, JCS rolls the screw threads for strength and fully rounds the band edges so the hose is protected as the clip bites. JCS publishes a recommended torque of 6.0 Nm (54 lb-in) for this size - seat the clip centrally on the barb and work up to it gradually. Hi-Grip exceeds BS5315 and holds BSI Kitemark and NATO approvals.
Built from 18/8 marine-quality 304 stainless steel and Lloyd's Register Type Approved, this is the clip for joints that live wet. The 10-clip bulk pack keeps a full circuit's worth - and its spares - in one box. Measure the hose's fitted outside diameter, pick the range that covers it, and recheck after high-vibration service.
Also available - the 210-240mm size (HGS240BP); the 250-280mm size (HGS280BP); a zinc plated version in the same size and pack (HGZ260BP).

A. This size spans 230-260mm of fitted hose outside diameter. Measure the hose over its fitting, not the bare bore - anywhere inside 230-260mm and the HGS260BP is the right clip. One JCS size covers a span that would take two fixed nut-and-bolt clamps.
A. JCS recommends 6.0 Nm (54 lb-in) for this size. Position the clip centrally over the hose barb and tighten incrementally to that torque - over-tightening can damage the hose.
A. No mixed metals here - band, housing and screw are all the same stainless grade, and JCS verifies that through salt mist testing. Cheaper clips often pair a stainless band with a plated screw, which is the part that fails first.

A. Hi-Grip 304 stainless is marine-quality 18/8 steel with Lloyd's Register Type Approval and is suited to saltwater service. A. JCS designs against it: the hex screw is cold-headed and work-hardened with rolled threads, so it holds its setting and will not round off. On high-vibration equipment, JCS's guidance is to recheck the clip after service to keep the seal intact.
