Few parts cost less or matter more than the clip sealing a hose to its fitting - when it slips, everything it feeds stops.
Worm drive clips seal by drawing the band evenly through a captive screw housing, and the HGZ30RP adds the JCS details that make that reliable - a 22-30mm adjustment span, a cold-headed, work-hardened hex screw with rolled threads that will not round off, and fully rounded band edges. Recommended tightening torque for this size is 5.0 Nm (45 lb-in). Manufactured to exceed BS5315, Kitemarked and NATO approved.
Made from heavily electro zinc plated and passivated mild steel, tested to EN9227, it suits general purpose work in non-corrosive environments - domestic, automotive and industrial hose connections. Measure the outside diameter of the hose when fitted and choose the clip whose range covers it. JCS supplies leading agricultural machinery manufacturers, and the same clips serve garden machinery, workshop and light industrial pipework.

A. It adjusts between 22-30mm. Measure the outside diameter of your hose when fitted over its pipe or fitting - if that measurement falls within 22-30mm, this clip fits. JCS clips offer a larger adjustment range per size than typical nut-and-bolt clamps. In imperial terms that is roughly 7/8 to 1 3/16 in, covering common 7/8 and 1 in hose sizes.
A. JCS recommends 5.0 Nm (45 lb-in) for this size. Position the clip centrally over the hose barb and tighten incrementally to that torque - over-tightening can damage the hose.
A. The band is heavily electro zinc plated and passivated, tested to EN9227, and JCS plates the steel after cutting so the cut edges are coated too. It is intended for non-corrosive environments such as domestic and light industrial use - for wet, salty or chemical-exposed duty choose the Hi-Grip Stainless version.
A. No - JCS itself cautions that zinc-coated clamps can quickly corrode or seize around salt water. The marine specification is Hi-Grip Stainless: 18/8 304 stainless throughout, with Lloyd's Register Type Approval.
