JCS itself cautions that zinc-coated clamps can corrode or seize in marine conditions - persistently wet duty calls for stainless throughout.
Sized to adjust between 270-300mm, the HGS300BP carries the construction details Hi-Grip is specified for - rolled screw threads on a cold-headed, work-hardened hex head, fully rounded band edges, and a published tightening torque of 6.0 Nm (54 lb-in) for this size band. The range is made to exceed BS5315 and holds the BSI Kitemark and NATO approval.
Packed 5 to a box for stores and fleet use, the clip is 18/8 marine-quality 304 stainless in every part - band, housing and screw - so there is no plated component to corrode first. Lloyd's Register Type Approval covers marine, offshore and industrial duty; the same clips serve agricultural irrigation, washdown plant and drainage systems.
Also available - the 250-280mm size (HGS280BP); the 290-320mm size (HGS320BP); a zinc plated version in the same size and pack (HGZ300BP).
Lloyd's Register Type Approval on a stocked bulk pack is rare at any price point.
JCS recommends letting the application decide - what the hose carries, the temperature and pressure it sees, and how corrosive the environment is - then matching the clip's adjustment range to the fitted hose diameter.

A. This size spans 270-300mm of fitted hose outside diameter. Measure the hose over its fitting, not the bare bore - anywhere inside 270-300mm and the HGS300BP is the right clip. One JCS size covers a span that would take two fixed nut-and-bolt clamps.
A. JCS recommends 6.0 Nm (54 lb-in) for this size. Position the clip centrally over the hose barb and tighten incrementally to that torque - over-tightening can damage the hose.
