Compact by design, this 15×15mm female-female bobbin mount (SKU 1515FF04-60) delivers a balanced isolation-to-support ratio that places it squarely in the general-purpose middle ground, handling loads up to 11.2 kg with a controlled deflection of 1.3 mm at its 60 Shore A rubber hardness. Where the softer 45 Shore grade prioritises maximum isolation at lower loads and the firmer 70 Shore grade is oriented toward restraint and reduced movement, this medium-grade variant offers a practical equilibrium suited to installations where neither extreme is warranted. The rubber-to-metal bonded construction ensures consistent load transfer across shear, compression, or combined loading modes. At this hardness grade the rubber resists deflection sufficiently to provide structural stability while still absorbing transmitted vibration, making the mount useful across the broad centre of machinery mounting requirements. The M4 female thread on both faces allows direct in-line fastening without additional hardware, simplifying installation in compact assemblies. Female-female bobbins of this family are applied across instrument panels, light industrial machinery, generator sets, air-conditioning units, exhaust mountings, and diesel engine ancillaries, wherever moderate vibration attenuation and a degree of shock absorption are required. Female Female Bobbins, also referred to as Type C Bobbins or Type 3 Bobbins are a low cost Anti Vibration Mount, suitable for reducing vibration & shock and a vast array of different applications. They should be used in either Shear or Compression or in a combination, however like all bobbins, not put into tension. Bobbins are available with many different thread Sizes, ranging from M3-M24 and in various lengths. Additional Bobbin Mounts sizes are available on request and can be produced in various grades of Stainless Steel and Oil & High Temperature resistant rubbers.
