The Draper Expert XP1000® VDE Slimline Plain Slot Screwdriver (SKU 2160) addresses the specific challenge of reaching deep-seated screws in terminals and switchboards, where standard-diameter insulated screwdrivers cannot reach. The slimline blade carries an insulated sheath of the same diameter as the blade itself, keeping the profile consistent from handle to tip. Each screwdriver is individually tested to 10,000V and certified for use on live circuits of 1,000V AC and 1,500V DC. The patented dual-layer insulation is engineered so that any damage to the outer layer becomes highly visible, providing a clear safety warning before a compromised tool is used on a live circuit. The tool is manufactured and individually certified to EN 60900, the standard governing hand tools for work on live electrical installations. The SCVM steel blade is hardened, tempered and chemically blackened, with a precision-machined 4.0mm plain slot tip for an exact fit that resists cam-out and helps prevent screw damage. The blade is 100mm in length. The ergonomic bi-material soft grip handle supports free spinning in the palm for rapid tightening, while also allowing controlled torque transfer when required. Flat sides on the handle prevent the screwdriver from rolling on work surfaces. This screwdriver is supplied as a single unit: 1 x XP1000® Slimline Plain Slot VDE Screwdriver, 4.0 x 100mm.
