The Draper Expert XP1000® Slimline PZ/SL Type VDE Screwdriver addresses this directly: its insulated sheath shares the same diameter as the blade, allowing the tip to reach deep-seated screws in terminals and switchboards where a conventionally shouldered screwdriver simply cannot fit. It is specifically designed for use with electrical screws on RCBs and MCBs within distribution and consumer units. Safety is built into the construction at every level. The patented dual-layer insulation means any damage to the outer layer becomes immediately and highly visible, providing an at-a-glance integrity check before use. Each screwdriver is individually tested to 10,000V and certified as suitable for working on live circuits of 1,000V AC and 1,500V DC. Manufacture and individual certification comply with EN 60900. The SCVM steel blade is hardened, tempered and chemically blackened, with a precision-machined PZ/SL No.1 tip engineered for an exact fit to prevent screw damage. At 80mm, the blade length is well suited to the confined spaces typical of consumer unit work. The ergonomic bi-material soft grip handle enables free spinning in the palm for rapid screw tightening, whilst still allowing full torque transfer when required. Flat sides on the handle prevent the tool from rolling on a work surface. Supplied as a single XP1000® Slimline PZ/SL Type VDE Interchangeable Screwdriver Blade, No.1 x 80mm.
