The SIP 01520 is an 8" swivel head pull-down metal cutting bandsaw rated at 1.5hp (1.1kW) on a 230v (13A) single-phase supply, designed to deliver heavy-duty cutting performance across a range of metals in trade and professional environments via a powerful gearbox-driven system.
The pedestal-mounted swivel head incorporates a pull-down handle with integrated control switch, and the cast iron swivel bow reduces vibration whilst enabling quick angle adjustments up to 60°. Versatile feed control spans manual operation for individual cuts through to semi-automatic operation suited to higher-volume or larger cuts. A cast iron vice with quick-release handle supports repetitive work, and an adjustable hydraulic ram dampener ensures smooth, controlled cutting descent to aid both operator control and blade performance. An integrated coolant system extends blade life and keeps the cutting area at working temperature, complemented by a 24v safety control circuit.
The bandsaw runs at a blade speed of 80 metres per minute using a 20mm x 0.9mm x 2,085mm blade. Cutting capacity at 90° reaches 170mm for circular stock, 170mm x 170mm for box section, and 170mm x 200mm for rectangular section. At 45°, circular capacity is 120mm and box or rectangular section up to 110mm x 110mm. At 60°, circular capacity is 70mm with box and rectangular capacity of 60mm x 60mm. The machine measures 1,500mm (H) x 1,155mm (W) x 700mm (D) with a net weight of 172.4kg.
