The SIP 01524 10" Swivel Head Pull-Down Metal Bandsaw is a heavy-duty pedestal-mounted machine designed to deliver precise metal cutting performance across trade and professional workshop environments. Driven by a powerful 1.5hp (1.1kW) gearbox system running on a standard 230V (13A) single-phase supply, the bandsaw operates at a cutting speed of 72 metres per minute using a 27mm x 0.9mm x 2,455mm blade.
Versatility is a core strength of this machine. A pull-down swivel head with integrated control switch supports both manual and semi-automatic feed control, allowing the operator to switch between individual cutting tasks and higher-volume automated operation as required. The cast iron swivel bow enables quick angle adjustments up to 60°, reducing vibration and maintaining accuracy across angular cuts. The cast iron vice with quick-release handle is particularly well suited to repetitive cutting work.
Durability and control are addressed through an adjustable hydraulic ram dampener, which ensures a smooth, consistent cutting descent whilst protecting blade performance. An integrated coolant system extends blade life by cooling the cutting area during operation. A 24V control circuit provides an integrated safety feature as standard.
Cutting capacity is extensive: at 90°, the saw handles circular stock up to 227mm, box section up to 200mm x 200mm, and rectangular section up to 260mm x 110mm. At 45°, circular capacity is 150mm, box section 160mm x 160mm, and rectangular section 150mm x 125mm. At 60°, the machine cuts circular stock to 90mm, box section to 100mm x 100mm, and rectangular section to 85mm x 85mm.
