The SIP 01597 18" 400V Professional Metal Bandsaw is a 3-phase, 2hp (1.5kW) machine designed for trade and professional-grade metal-cutting applications. Purpose-built for demanding workshop environments, it delivers consistent performance across a range of materials and section sizes thanks to its 4-speed belt-driven gearbox.
At the heart of the machine is an ultra heavy-duty cast iron bow that reduces vibration and increases accuracy, resulting in better cutting results and greater ease-of-use for the operator. The 4-speed gearbox provides blade speeds of 29, 50, 73 and 95 metres per minute, making the machine well suited to varying material types and thicknesses. An adjustable hydraulic ram dampener ensures a smooth cutting descent with improved control and blade performance, whilst an integrated coolant system extends blade life and keeps the cutting area cool during operation. A large adjustable vice accommodates large steel sections for straight and angle cutting, and a built-in 24V control circuit safety feature provides added peace-of-mind in professional use.
The machine offers a cutting capacity at 90° of 254mm diameter (round tube), 127mm x 150mm (box section), and 230mm x 230mm box / 127mm x 457mm rectangular section per the master specification. At 45°, capacity is 150mm diameter (round tube) and 150mm x 190mm box section. The 400V 3-phase input supply makes this bandsaw suitable for workshop installations with three-phase power.
The SIP 01597 is supplied complete with a heavy-duty bi-metal vari-pitch blade for enhanced durability, long service life, and excellent cutting results from first use. It is backed by the SIP 2-Year Standard Silver Warranty.
