The Sealey SM5 is a 375W metal cutting bandsaw running on 230V, with three blade speeds of 18, 30, and 48 metres per minute to suit different materials and cut types. At 90°, it handles round stock up to 115mm diameter and square or rectangular sections up to 100 x 150mm. At 45°, capacity is 60mm round and 100 x 60mm square or rectangular. The blade measures 1638 x 13 x 0.63mm. An oil-bath gearbox and life-lubricated drive bearings keep operation quiet and smooth, while fully adjustable precision blade guides extend blade life and maintain cutting accuracy. The integral mitring vice features a scale from 45° to 90° for angle cutting, and a magnetic no-load voltage switch prevents motor restart in the event of a power failure or blade jam. The heavy-duty cast base houses the horizontal and vertical cutting arm, and the stand is fitted with two wheels for ease of movement. The machine weighs 60kg and complies with the Machinery Safety Directive, with full CE approval.
