Lubricating grease points by hand is slow and imprecise. The PCL APT813 is a pneumatic grease gun designed to simplify workshop and vehicle lubrication tasks through fully automatic, continuous-feed operation, manufactured in Sheffield since 1938 as part of HORNGROUP. The APT813 features 3-way loading — standard 14 oz (400 cc) cartridge, bulk fill, or pump fill — so grease is loaded in the most convenient way for the task at hand. A 360-degree rotating handle and angled die-cast body and head give access to awkward grease points, while the pistol grip and single-pulse trigger provide controlled, one-handed operation. Two nozzles are supplied as standard: an offset nozzle and a flexi nozzle. Delivery pressure ranges from 2,400 to 6,000 psi from a feed pressure of 60 to 150 psi, representing a 40:1 pressure ratio. The continuous-flow mechanism applies grease under steady pressure and is rated suitable for medium grease. Air consumption is 3.5 cfm (71 l/min), the minimum recommended hose size is 3/8 in (10 mm), and the air inlet is 1/4 in BSP. The tool weighs 1.5 kg and measures 170 mm in length, making it compact enough for use in confined service bays.
