The Draper 92971 is an HVLP (high volume low pressure) gravity feed air spray gun designed to address this directly, combining maximum paint transfer efficiency with minimal bounce back to reduce waste and improve surface coverage. The gun's variable fan position and fully adjustable airflow allow the operator to adapt spray characteristics to the task at hand, whether laying down a broad coat or targeting a tighter area. The gravity-fed 500ml cup positions paint directly above the fluid nozzle, promoting consistent feed without the need for high inlet pressures. Compatibility extends to all paint types including water-based formulations, making the gun suitable for a wide range of workshop and bodywork applications. The lightweight aluminium body keeps fatigue to a minimum during extended use, with the gun weighing just 0.33kg. The 1.5mm nozzle is paired with an operating pressure range of 45–50psi, a maximum operating pressure of 60psi (4.1 bar), and an air consumption of 175 litres per minute (6 CFM). Fluid delivery is rated at 160–270ml per minute.
